What to do next?
I am at a cross-road and I am having problems making up my mind. I was hoping you might be able to help me by answering the following question:
If I was to only add one more feature to Fetlife, what would it be and why?

Forums of some sort. A way for people to talk and get to know one another and share information and opinions beyond the very basic profile that the facebook model has. To me, right now, the site is just a bunch of profiles. If you don’t know a lot of people there’s not much way to get to know people unless you randomly start messaging them. Doing that… eh… it wastes a lot of time. Forums, message boards and the like allow you to “hear” what people have to say and get a basic idea of who they are. They allow us to communicate and open doors for further communication with those we “click” with. Just my thoughts, of course. :)

I’d like to add “couple” (or other more-than-one-person status) as an identity. So it’s clear to people that one is not being deceptive, etc.
And allows people to search for/screen out couples/triads, etc.
Couple is not happening… you can check a previous post about why not… but the basic gist of it is that everyone is an individual even people in couples. Couples can link their profiles together but they are still individuals in my eyes! :-)
I just realized, what I am really doing is making FetLife divorce proof :-p

what about tagging photos like we were talking about? Either with people or fetishes, so that when you go to say..’spanking’ you can see all the photos tagged with spanking….
it’s not quite a forum but then you can meet people that way by seeing their pictures…..
i say this ’cause i know you’re still plotting out the forum attack…but that might be a good move :)
I would also say forums if nothing else were to come. Tagging sounds nice, but forums would be a lot more useful.
I agree with the forums request! I would also like to see a classifieds section where people who make or sell fetish items, or have 2nd had clothes, toys, equipment etc, who no longer need them can advertise them for sale. Ebay often pulls ads for Fetish items, so it would be a great place for people to be able to trade their products

I’d like to see an AV chat feature. One of the other community sites has been bought and, in my humble opinion ruined, by a major publishing company. AV chat is most of the reason I still go to that site, and If there was a similar feature here I’ll bet a lot of the folks there would join us here.
Since I’ve already cheated and listed two, let’s go for three. I’d like a place to publish original stories. Those stories are a big drawing point for sites like alt.com and bondage.com, and I would be willing to contribute to that area.

I’d like to see the ‘Fetishes’ section remodelled, possibly after bondage.com’s checklists or something - The overwhelming majority of thigns on the current fetish list - I’m at least ‘into’ on some level - but, there’s no scope for how into those things I am -Age play and stockings are both sexy - but one’s a 5 and one’s a 3.
There’s also currently no option for things I’m not into. If I’m meeting play partners through fetlife - I’d like it to be clear to them what I’m not into, as much as what I am into - and I’d like to be clear what they’re not into as much as what they are into.
It’s also a bit problematic to enter respponses to some things - I’m into masochism - but am I saying that I’m into giving a masochist what they want, or giving my masochism to someone? Only one is applicable in my case, and it’s not clear which one I’m saying.
Just so everyone knows I have been listening with both ears to this thread…. and by ears I mean eyes.
